Ideas for a direct way to link the UK with France appeared as early as 1802, but British politicians were concerned over compromised national security and stalled attempts to construct a tunnel. Construction eventually began in 1988 and in 1994 the Channel Tunnel officially linked London and Paris and the "Chunnel" is considered by many to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
Now, with your friends at CDC Distributors, we invite you to join us at we explore these two uniquely European cities via the Chunnel.

Paris
Once just a village that settled on the "Ile de la Cite" (City Island), Paris has vastly expanded over the centuries, taking the surrounding villages under its wing and making them its own. Nowadays the City of Light—a name Paris earned during the age of the Enlightenment is the capital of fashion, art, people-watching and, of course, romance. Lovers flock from all over the world for Paris legendary romance. Wander the banks of the Seine, admire the paintings in the Louvre and enjoy all that Paris is famous for.
Enjoy four nights in Paris at the Hotel California. Built in 1925, the hotel is located a few steps away from the Champs-Élysées and a short walk for such famous sites as the The Arc de Triomphe, Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Charm, romance and refinement come naturally to the Hotel California, which owes its name to Hollywood and the New York Press.
Each of the rooms offer a view of Paris. Through the windows, eyes wander over a central courtyard open to the sky, the sacred heart of Montmartre and rooftops of Paris.
Your trip with CDC Distributors will conclude with a spectacular dinner cruise down the River Seine where you can drink in the sights, sounds, and aromas that are unmistakably Paris.

We're sure you will be pleased with the Cumberland's spacious, comfortable rooms, each meticulously designed to reflect the building’s individual architecture, style and character. Every room contains an original work of art, specially commissioned from one of Britain’s leading contemporary artists -- just what you would expect from a hotel whose lobby is also one of London’s most exciting contemporary art galleries.
And we have planned a historic farewell party for your final night in London. On becoming Prime Minister in May 1940, Winston Churchill visited the underground War Cabinet Room and said, 'This is a room from which I will direct the war'. The Cabinet War Rooms sheltered the heart of British military and government command throughout the Second World War, before being sealed in August 1945. Now, you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the War Rooms for a behind-the-scenes look at how the Allied forces orchestrated victory during WWII.
Sit back and enjoy the 2½-hour ride as your high-speed train takes you from London to Paris.
